A Free Holiday Celebration at Audubon’s Rowe Sanctuary

Holiday season kickoff event set for December 8

Gibbon, NE (November 25, 2019) – A free holiday kickoff event, Holiday Open House, will be hosted at Iain Nicolson Audubon Center at Rowe Sanctuary on Sunday, December 8 from 1 – 4 pm. There will be hot chocolate, treats, family-friendly activities, and discounted gift shop items.

While sipping on a hot chocolate, participants can stroll through the gift shop where they will receive a 10% discount on all items.

There will be a craft station available for people of all ages to make decorations using recyclable materials in addition to periodic, guided hikes (weather depending). Participants could also watch the Rowe Sanctuary bird feeders while enjoying a holiday treat.

“We want to invite people to come out to the center and enjoy nature in the winter,” said Beka Yates, Education Manager at Rowe Sanctuary. “They can sip on their cocoa, enjoy the view, and maybe learn a little bit about our conservation work along the river.”

The Holiday Open House is free to attend and registration is not required.
