Dietlein Family Ranch

Site Description and Ornithological Summary: The Dietlein Family Ranch is an 8,000-acre property adjacent to Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge in west-central Nebraska.

Birds of note that have been documented on site are American Bittern, White-faced Ibis, Yellow-headed Blackbird, Long-billed Curlew, Upland Sandpiper, Piping Plover, Black Tern, Trumpeter Swan, Grasshopper Sparrow, and Red-headed Woodpecker. A management plan has been written for the 4-D Rush Lake Reserve, which is on the western edge of the Dietlein Ranch.
